The action I chose to do was the poster; I chose to do the poster because I felt I could get my point across better though a visual. I also like working with photos so it was perfect for me to do the poster. With my poster I hoped to achieve promoting that gang life is not the answer and that people shouldn’t feel like that’s there only option or family. Many people join gangs to be part of a group of people, to be accepted and loved. They need to understand that there are better ways to have friends and a family, in gangs so called families die for no reason and cause unnecessary violence. I believe my poster was successful and got my point across to viewers. This project has had a major affect on me, and it will definitely change my future actions. I see now that many less fortunate people in gangs shouldn’t be blamed for what they have done and that help should be given to these people so that children don’t have to be raised in such environments. In the future I would love to help organize a group or organization to help children escape gang life. I think that I can do a lot to help change and maybe even save others lives.

The action I took was to write a prayer and recite it to the school. I chose to write a prayer because it was a good opportunity to explain and insight people about the struggles that gang members and their families go through. I also feel that a prayer is the best way to show passion and really make people think A prayer is a good way to help those who are in need of a prayer and gives hope to others that a prayer can make a huge difference.
What I hope to achieve through this prayer is to create a sense of awareness in our school about the violence and sadness in the gang community. I felt that it was success because people seemed to enjoy the prayer and could tell it was passionate and thoughtful. With a prayer, it allows you to dig deep into what you’re feeling and you can share it with others who want to share in your goal of a better world.
I see myself furthering this action in the future by telling people about what I learned that the consequences and violence that surround gangs. This project has gotten me to think about how a prayer can allow you to teach and inform others. By telling and teaching others with less knowledge or awareness on this subject, they can have the chance to tell others and possibly help make a difference in stopping gang violence everywhere.
